March 10, 2022 – Golden, Colorado.
On Sunday, March 6, the Buffalo Rose hosted a benefit concert to raise funds for the victims of the 2021 Marshall Fire. The event drew more than 200 people and was supported by five well-
known Colorado Front Range bands. The benefit raised $54,000 and all proceeds were donated to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund administered by the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County. “The Marshall Fire was devastating to so many families, so the Buffalo Rose really wanted to do something to help the community in any way we could,” said Chris Cone, owner of Buffalo Rose.
Inspired by Brian Smith of The Jerseys, members of the bands worked alongside several local businesses to organize and produce the benefit concert. “Five incredible bands donated their talent and time to make this happen. A huge thank you goes out to Face Vocal Band, The Jerseys, Forever in Blue Jeans, The Long Run, and Soul X for their support,” said Marco Simpson, Director of Artist Relations & Talent Acquisition at Buffalo Rose. The event was hosted by Ashley Ryan from KVDR Fox31 and sponsored by Schomp MINI of Highlands Ranch. Numerous other local companies also helped make the event a success, including Powder7, Icelantic, YoColorado, D’Amore Interiors, MolsonCoors, Samuel Adams, Eagle Rock, Southern Wine & Spirits, Eagle Distributing, Sebastiani & Sons, Kysela Pere et Fils, Riversmith, Goldmine Cupcakes, Miner’s Alley Playhouse, the Golden Mill, Big Horn Flags & Woodworking and Lodo Drum Guy.
“So many lost so much in the Marshall Fire, we hope the funds raised from the concert can provide at least some assistance to our neighbors in Boulder County affected by the fire,” said Chris Cone. “Thank you very much to all the bands, sponsors, and local businesses that donated their time or goods and to everyone that bought tickets to the benefit.”
