A Band Called Alexis
A Band Called Alexis is Colorado’s premier rockin’ country band. Any events from concerts, county fairs, street dances, weddings, honky tonks & dance parties … you name it, they’ve done it; and love it!
A Band Called Alexis covers a variety of neo and traditional country artists’ (plus r&b, blues, soul, gospel), and a handful of original songs, all featuring the outstanding lead vocals of Alexis and her band.
Alexis grew up a star in the midwest, singing for her momma at the age of 3. She brings to every performance her stage savvy, performing skills and unique voice; fronting her veteran band. A Band Called Alexis’ show has high energy and brings so much fun that you will be left wanting more long after the last note!
The ThreadBarons
There’s a dark thread meandering through this music. It weaves its way through tales of sin, regret and desperation. Of loneliness and resolve. Leaving an imperfect fabric — a refreshing polar opposite to perfectly posed Instagram lives.
There’s a melancholy soul here that runs to the bone.
The music of the Threadbarons is informed by the vast variety of life. Members hail from New York and Pennsylvania; the midwest and west Texas. They range in age from their freshly matured 30s to their deeply weathered 60s.
You’ll hear the inspirations: Dylan in his electric years; Wilco in their prime. You may be reminded of The Band, as various members take the mic. But you might not hear a more authentic commentary on the very human road we all travel.

The Buffalo Rose presents The Mike Masse’ Trio
Don’t miss the Mike Massé Trio performing some of the best classic rock songs of all time acoustically: the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, U2, Elton John.… Mike has over 100 million YouTube video views, a really unique talent. Mike is joined by Bryce Bloom (bass/backing vocals) and Rock Smallwood (lead guitar/backing vocals). Mike is an internationally acclaimed artist, whose arrangements are praised for their originality and emotional impact. Legends of rock have expressed their love and gratitude for his renditions of their finest works.
- “Toto’s favorite cover of ‘Africa’” – Yahoo! Music
- “Terrific!” – Dennis DeYoung (Styx)
- “Love this cover!” – Sarah McLachlan
- “Thank you very much! Beautiful. Great job!” – Geddy Lee (Rush)
Mike initially gained notoriety for his performances posted on his widely viewed YouTube channel, https://youtube.com/mikemasse. The success of that channel allowed him to quit his day job as a public defender, and move his family to Denver to become a full-time musician.
Mike’s arrangements are praised for their originality, creativity, accuracy and simplicity. He is careful to remain true to what is beloved about the original recordings, while bringing his own masterful musical flair to each rendition. He has performed live as a vocalist with former and original members of the band Boston, doing a set of all classic Boston songs, some of the most challenging rock vocals ever recorded.
Mike recently performed an evening of Beatles’ music with his band Rubber Souls, accompanied by the Denver Pops Orchestra. He appeared in a national television commercial for Google, a tribute to Prince that aired during the Grammys.

The Nadas – Duo Numero Uno
How many bands can say they’ve written, recorded and performed for nearly 27 years? Played with The Beach Boys, America, Bon Jovi, and Huey Lewis. Been inducted into Rock n Roll Hall of Fame (The Iowa Location). Written their hometown’s theme song (twice) Been touted by Playboy the best band you’ve never heard of. Fêted by [Insert Politician here]. How many songwriting duos even withstand one another that long anyway? To say nothing of producing hit after memorable hit: Walk Away, Templeton Rye, Long Goodbye, Carve Your Name, Meant To Be. The list is long, fan favorites legion – as evidenced by the band’s emphatic sing-alongs. Take Beautiful Girl; no Nada’s’ Iowa State Fair performance is complete without a stage filled with harmonizing pageant hopefuls. This is a band that makes a stage wherever it goes. Whether crisscrossing the country in Meatloaf’s old bus with Big Head Todd, or performing in a living room, railroad station, cruise ship, ski chalet, street corner. The Nadas have done it all. In their 27th year, the band is back with its twelfth studio album, “Duo Numero Uno” “We decided to go back to where it all started” Walsmith said ” Two guys and two guitars”
The story begins in Ames, Iowa, circa 1993 where two young Iowa State University Students began learning songs off a mix tape and harmonizing in the stairwell of a fraternity house just off campus. Jason was obsessed with the folk music and singer songwriter scene while Mike was more influenced by the early 90’s college rock scene. Eventually, Jason relented, ushering in an amplified, arena-ready five-piece sound replete with anthemic choruses (“Everybody’s wrong; I’m not a loser!”) and soaring guitar solos (“Storm”).
These days The Nadas are – Mike and Jason together with bassist Brian Duffey, and drummer Brandon Stone along with Jonanne Tucker on Viola and Keys– brew up a potent mix of Stones-era “Country Honk,” with a healthy dose of 90s alternative rock: distorted, twangy, plaintive – and always melodic. Moreover, the band writesmusic evocative of its home state: level-headed and grounded, ambitious and soaring. Authentic. An electric, an acoustic, a slammin’ rhythm section and sprinkling a smart, subtle keys, The band has churned out 11 studio albums as a five-piece, logging thousands of miles (“We’ve had more breakdowns and flat tires than most people have had oil changes”) performing for thousands of fans. To date, the band has moved more 250,000 albums via aptly titled label, Authentic Records (but who’s counting anymore). In fact, Authentic has home grown a solid roster of local talent of the years, from bands such as Towncrier, Bright Giant and She Swings She Sways, to solo troubadours such as Jason Levasseur, Dick Prall and Benjamin Wagner. These are major league players who know the value of a farm team.
Today finds Jason and Mike at it again, banging out a new batch of songs with those original ingredients two guitars, two voices, four chords and the truth. Simple. Or is it? These ten new songs are invested with a quarter century of hard living: long days, late nights, second marriages and the attendant challenges of being a rock n roll dad. Duo – Numero Uno has fun, easy, uplifting songs such as Small Crush (probably a future teen pop smash hit) and Need a Little Lovin’ to rich, deep and layer gut punchers like When You Leave (good luck having a dry eye after this song) and Trust Fall and Tu Me Manques. They even re invent a couple of old crowd pleasers with Listen Through The Static and their most popular song on digital streaming services, Walk Away.
“We have always written songs from the heart as we have grown up and matured, our fans have gone through the same things in life and have come along for the ride” said Butterworth. Over twenty-five years on, the magic is still there. It’s there at the bands annual Little Bear Summer Camp in the Mountains of Colorado, The Iowa State Fair, the annual cruise. It’s there at every amphitheater, backyard and bowling alley. It’s more than what they do; it’s who they are.

Danielle Nicole Band
Founding member, lead singer, and bass player of Kansas City blues-rock band Trampled Under Foot, Danielle Nicole stepped out on her own in 2015 with her debut album “Wolf Den.” In 2018, Nicole returns with a follow-up release via Concord Records.
“I grew up playing the blues, and the blues is still a big part of what I do. But now I’m reaching out more and trying different things. It still sounds like me, but I’m stretching out a lot more than I have previously.”
Nicole’s distinctive, inventive bass work—which resulted in her becoming the first woman to win the Blues Foundation’s 2014 Blues Music Award for Best Instrumentalist, Bass—is the product of years of intensive roadwork. Although she had no experience with the instrument when she became Trampled Under Foot’s bassist, now she can’t imagine life without it.
“When I started doing my solo thing,” she continues, “someone asked me if I was gonna hire a bass player. No, of course not! I originally picked up the bass to keep Trampled Under Foot a family band, but I really fell in love with it. It was a huge challenge, and it still is. But I really love being part of the groove and getting to sing on top of that. I had learned some stuff on acoustic guitar before I started playing bass, but I never really felt connected to it the way I do with the bass. It’s empowering, walking onto a stage full of grown men who can play their asses off, and it’s ‘OK, I’m gonna play this bass, we’re gonna do this, and it’s gonna rock.’”
Rounding out her band are longtime Danielle Nicole Band guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Miller, and her older brother Kris Schenebelen [Trampled Under Foot] on drums.
“I think that it’s a good time for the kind of thing I’m doing,” she states. “From my years of playing blues festivals, I’ve seen that younger and younger audiences are getting into the blues. I think that people want to hear authentic music again.”

DOTSERO – Dinner and a Show
To music fans worldwide DOTSERO translates to “A no nonsense thrill ride of energy and excitement” a band full of life, energy and spontaneity that few artists in the genre have been able to match. As much fun to watch as they are to listen to. Colorado’s own DOTSERO band Taking their name from a small mountain town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, DOTSERO means “Something Unique”. Formed in 1984 the Dotsero Band, brothers Stephen and David Watts set sail on the contemporary jazz circuit with a vengeance. Performing all the major jazz festivals From Ala Carte Ala Park in San Francisco to West Palm Beach’s Sunfest, Red Rocks , JVC Winter Park Jazz Fest, Jazz Trax Catalina Island Jazz Fest and The Cancun Jazz Festival, among many others. Over the years Dotsero founding member David retired from the scene leaving the band solely in the hands of front man, sax man Steve Watts. Maintaining the integrity and standard people have come to expect from the shows, Steve opened up the genre full throttle adding the excitement of vocals, dual keyboards to the already funky sounds on the bass, drums and of course sax & ewi. You can expect to hear original music from their 16 CD releases as well some covers of their favorite artists. Dotsero is an unstoppable band of true musicianship.

George Ducas
“I consider myself very much a singer and songwriter with an emphasis on performing and being out there playing for people is a chance for the songs I write to live and breathe.”
A Lone Star native whose heart and soul are rooted in the honky tonks, roadhouses and dancehalls, George Ducas is a musical talent seasoned with experience, driven by passion and humbled by a God-given talent. With a string of Billboard charting songs that established him early as a country music trendsetter, George Ducas is a recording artist, hit songwriter, global entertainer and father to his children; his musical offerings encompass a creativity, sentiment, edge and wisdom of a man who lives life with a passion.
Ducas entered the country music genre as a deep-rooted traditionalist and defined vocalist who brought a contemporary edge to the format in the mid-90s. A Capitol-Nashville Records artist, Ducas was among a hefty roster of award-winning label mates Garth Brooks, Trace Adkins, Deana Carter and Suzy Bogguss.
Since his success as a national major label and critically acclaimed recording artist (with a string of hits including the Top 10 single “Lipstick Promises”), Ducas took an intended “recording hiatus” to devote his attention to raising his son and daughter (Will and Grace) in their early years.
With a noticeable personal “presence missed” on mainstream radio in recent years, Ducas has remained a mainstay in the country recording industry –his talents for putting words into music have been recognized by his peers and heard loud and clear echoing throughout stadiums, across the dance floors, and booming from stereo speakers over the past decade. It is only his voice that has been quieted from the “front and center” over the airwaves. His reputation has made him a sought-after songcrafter.
I laugh when I’m asked the question, “Where have you been?” I’m not coming out of the ‘Lost and Found.” I’ve been writing, recording and playing gigs for the last ten years… growing into my own skin to become a more confident writer, recording artist and producer. The music “switch” never turns off. I think that’s revealed in my music today.
Making a subtle yet impacting and lasting impression on the country audience and the music industry from the shadows, Ducas has become the “go-to” guy for good songs. His name can be found behind the pen of some of country music’s biggest hits including: Sara Evan’s No. 1 “Real Fine Place To Start,” Josh Thompson’s “Won’t Be Lonely Long,” The Eli Young Band’s “Always The Love Songs” as well as cuts recorded by George Jones and Garth Brooks, The Dixie Chicks, Trisha Yearwood and the Randy Rogers Band, only to name a few.
I’ve never stopped making music; I just stopped making records. In all this time, I have been growing as a man, which ultimately led my musical direction.
The allure of the night and bright lights, and his fervor to be heard, drew Ducas back into the recording booth taking a short respite and detour from the miles of Texas roads where he’s performed again and again along the trails blazed by hero Willie Nelson and other Texan troubadours before him. Feeding the hunger to record his own new music, the highways nurtured his creative appetite and the call and answer from fans moved him to step from beyond the borders of the big sky and head back to the studio. The result: 4340 !
With a craft mastered by reflections of life lessons complimented by present day maturity, Ducas returns to the country music format to “voice” his songs, and without exception 4340 (Loud Ranch/October 2013) showcases Ducas’ talents to illuminate storylines with defining imagery that brings lyrics to life.
Featuring co-writes alongside Keifer Thompson (Thompson Square), Jim Beavers (“Red Solo Cup”/Toby Keith, “5150”/Dierks Bentley), Radney Foster, Jon Henderson, Jason Matthews, Blake Wise, Richard Brodock and Jaida Dreyer, the album is stocked with radio worthy tracks and lined with carefully painted musical canvasses including “CowTown” “Ain’t That Crazy,” “Love Struck,” “Amnesia,” “Gimme Back My Honky Tonk” and “I Need To Love You.”
4340 covers an array of topics. “CowTown” is three minutes of good times; “Amnesia” is a longing with regret (with which I’m very familiar); “Ain’t That Crazy” is a journalistic review of how things change over time, what was once ‘cool’ is no longer hip, unexpected twists and turns in love affairs and ‘changes’ (technological or otherwise) that historically become modern day. The album is relationship driven; what can be bigger than that?
A tunesmith who constructs lyrics that attract the ears of the deeply emotional, light-hearted and the little bit crazy, George Ducas is a captivating music poet and entertainer who satisfies the palate of even the most eclectic and thoughtful of listeners.
