Maya Ogea
Maya Ogea is a songwriter from Denver, Colorado. Maya has grown up around music her entire life, often sitting with her family and singing by the piano. She grew up listening to the classics of her parents’ time such as Elton John, Billy Joel, and Prince. As she grew older she started to branch out regarding what she listened to. Norah Jones and John Mayer are two of her biggest influences. Starting to play at 12-years-old, Maya grew to love the guitar. She started studying classical guitar at Denver School of the Arts her freshman year of high school. from there she started writing songs and performing them any chance she was given. For her junior year of high school, Maya applied to Interlochen center for the arts, majoring in songwriting. Maya categorizes her music as “folk-rock” or “contemporary folk”.
Join us for a night full of dancing and singing as Maya Ogea brings us through her story. Music will include artists she grew up with as well as her own originals. Maya Ogea is a singer-songwriter from Denver, Colorado who brings a contemporary-folk feel to her music. Come dance the night away with us at The Rose!
