Mr. Majestyk’s 8-Track Revival
What do you get when you come to see a Mr. Majestyk’s 8-Track Revival show? You get “Grade A” performances of rock and pop masterpieces from the 1970s. That’s right kids…this means tunes that you may not often hear these days. From ELO, Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin, to rarities by Nick Gilder, Gary Wright and Sweet…MM8TR delivers 100% top fuel analog rock and roll, with a side of AM gold pop.
Formed in 2013, Mr. Majestyk’s 8-Track Revival (and his Cavalcade of All-Stars) has established themselves as one of Colorado’s premiere live acts. Yellowscene Magazine has stated, “their sound is as arresting as the spectacle they deliver in person. It’s a local superband of funktasm.” Denver’s Westword Magazine has included them in their Ten of the Best Cover Bands in Colorado – 2016 Edition. The members of MM8TR are some of the most experienced and talented musicians around, drawing from backgrounds in classical, musical theater, as well as decades of Colorado’s BEST rock and roll. A unique feature of a MM8TR show is their 3-piece string section, known affectionately by their fans as…..Sweet Action. What you hear on your favorite records is what you’ll hear live.
MM8TR maintains a busy concert schedule, performing for sold-out audiences in the most popular theaters, clubs and outdoor festivals throughout Colorado. In 2016, they appeared as guest artists with The Front Range Youth Symphony as well as a special Halloween event, performing a full-stage production of Alice Cooper’s 1975 classic Welcome to my Nightmare. In April of 2017, MM8TRperformed in the Denver Pops Orchestra’s Rockin’ with the Pops concert series.
The band’s song list was carefully engineered to capture the true essence of the ‘70s and evoke great memories from a time when music was raw and untarnished. Did MM8TR go with the obvious cheese?…Negative. They drill deep in to the medulla oblongata for the songs you really loved when they were played on the radio. These are the songs that blasted from the 8-track player of your 1970 Dodge Challenger as you hurled through the desert, Vegas-bound. Now these gems live forever within the MM8TR machine! Their live show is like none other and one not to be missed.

Pablo Cruise
In 1975, Pablo Cruise released its first A&M album, simply entitled *Pablo Cruise*. The album cover was shot in the tropical gardens of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and featured a huge gorilla standing front and center. The band —David Jenkins (guitars, vocals), Cory Lerios (keyboards, vocals), Bud Cockrell (bass, vocals), and Steve Price (drums, percussion)—were nowhere in sight. At that point, there was a bit of mystique surrounding Pablo Cruise. When asked what Pablo Cruise meant, the well-rehearsed answer went something like this: “‘Pablo’ represents an honest, real, down-to-earth individual, and ‘Cruise’ depicts his fun-loving, easy-going attitude towards life.” In essence, that’s what Pablo Cruise’s music is all about: honest, real, down-to-earth vocals, accompanied by fun yet elegant, infectious grooves.
Hearing Pablo Cruise on record is one thing, but experiencing the band live is an exhilarating event! From 1975 to 1985, the band toured the United States, Canada, and Japan extensively, welcoming fans to “Climb Aboard The Good Ship Pablo Cruise.” Reaching the top 10 with mega-hits like “Whatcha Gonna Do When She Says Goodbye?” and “Love Will Find a Way,” and several other top 20 hits, the band went on to sell several million albums and singles collectively, establishing themselves as well-respected writers and performers within the industry. They appeared on numerous TV shows, including Dick Clark’s American Bandstand, The Merv Griffin Show, The Dinah Shore Hour, and in 1979, they broke Elvis Presley’s attendance record at the Sahara Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, becoming the first rock band to play a casino showroom. They also became the first rock band to grace the stage at the Grand Ole Opry. By 1985, after completing several national tours and releasing seven studio albums in total, the band decided to take a hiatus—one that lasted nearly 20 years.
Fast forward 20 years… In 2005, a reunited Pablo Cruise picked up where they left off, and today the band performs all over the U.S. and Canada, enjoying it more than ever. Since getting back together, they have released two live CDs and a DVD through Sony Music, documenting their exceptional live shows. During the pandemic, the band wrote and produced a new single (through Sony) entitled “Breathe,” which received considerable critical acclaim! One of the great things about playing shows after all these years is that primary songwriters David Jenkins and Cory Lerios are still on board! Cory says, “Going out and playing shows these days gives us the opportunity to not only pay tribute to our timeless repertoire but also to see old friends and fans from back in the day, as well as gain a whole new audience!”
Today, Pablo Cruise is bringing more energy and excitement to the stage than ever before, and with the addition of Larry Antonino (bass, vocals), Robbie Wyckoff (vocals, percussion), and Sergio Gonzalez (drums, percussion), the band has never sounded better! If you get an opportunity to see Pablo Cruise live, don’t pass it up… IT’S GOOD TO BE LIVE!

PROJECT FOREIGNER : Tribute to Foreigner
Because of their love for and desire to celebrate the great British-American rock band, five talented musicians joined forces in 2016 to form Project Foreigner – A Tribute to Foreigner. Playing top hits, their recent presence in the Northern Colorado live music scene has already excited and delighted audiences and venues alike! Lead vocalist Dave Stremel is “following my heart” and stepping out from behind the guitar with his impressive vocal range. He leads this tribute act with fire and finesse by embracing the role of Lou Gramm. Dave also plays guitar for High Wire , an original band , as well as being vocalist for VOA- Tribute To Sammy Hagar/Van Halen . Guitarist Fernando Escobar meticulously and artfully plays the well-renowned guitar riffs of Mick Jones. An in-demand musician, Fernando has played in several music projects over the years, which currently includes regionally known Rush Archives, a tribute to Rush. The band is rounded out by the expertise of keyboardist Jane Frederick of RetroSonics 80’s pop & award winning Hey, Lady!, a B-52s tribute; bassist Sherri Pflieger-Elliott of modern/alternative rock Audible Clique; and, drummer Tim Elliott , founder of Drumming Up Hope , and member of numerous Denver area tribute bands , Smokin’ , KISSm , Paradise Theatre , El Loco Fandango and Sonic Temple Denver
Hey, Lady! A Tribute to the B-52s
“Hey, Lady!”, winner of the 2018 and 2012 Leftapalooza Mile High Tribute Band Competition, was founded in 2009 by sister/brother duo Deb Britton and Steven Blasinsky with the mission to spread the love, the fun and the wacky party spirit of The B-52s across Colorado and beyond! This is not your average background-music cover band. “Hey, Lady!” is an EVENT BAND; captivating and entertaining audiences of all ages with their passion and energy. Their concert-style shows provide special effects, outrageous wigs and costumes, spunk and contagious B-52’s dance grooves that will take your special event to the ultimate level of celebration. From out-door festivals and fundraisers to club dates and corporate events, “Hey, Lady!” has been raising audience eyebrows and heart-rates. They have even caught the attention of The B-52s own Fred Schneider:
“Hey, check out Hey, Lady! on YouTube. A Bs cover band. They’re fantastic! Steve has me totally right! Love them & they’re great people! – Fred Schneider, the B-52s”

William Topley & Band
William Topley’s lyrics are subtle vignettes of life that take in universal themes that are filtered through the lens of late night performances, morning after black coffees and too many cigarettes. They are songs that deliver more with each listening and give you a real sense of the journey and the feelings that affect each and everyone of us. Dire Straits guitar legend Mark Knopfler, says of Topley: “He’s big-hearted, emotional and strictly legit.”
William Topley has developed a dedicated fan base in the U.S. ever since the release of Prince of the Deep Water in 1991, his first album with his band The Blessing. Producer Neil Dorfsman (Sting, Dire Straits) described him as “the most original songwriter I’ve heard for years.” The influences, still recognisable in his music, were already there – The Stones, Van Morrison, the best of soul and southern rock. The album catapulted The Blessing into a world tour, videos in Jamaica, TV stations in Paris and soccer stadiums in Germany with Simply Red and Level 42.
Legendary Rolling Stones Producer Jimmy Miller, who produced The Blessing’s second album Locusts and Wild Honey, was equally enthusiastic. “They’re right up my alley. I haven’t had such a good relationship with a band since Traffic.”
Ever looking for new challenges, Topley decided to go solo for his next albums. Producer Barry Beckett said of Topley: “He’s the best singer I’ve ever heard.” And that’s from a guy who’s worked with Aretha Franklin and Paul Simon.
Topley has worked with guitarist/songwriter Dominic Miller (best known for his work with Sting), and frequently records with his band and plays live with his band (Luke Brighty – guitar, James Eller – bass, Jim Kimberley – drums, Mark Taylor – keyboards, Dorie Jackson – backing vocals).
On the back of his latest album, Aristocrats of the South Seas and annual Bahamas Fan Trip, William Topley and the Black River Band are delivering songs that are dripping with evocative lyrics and memorable musical imagery.

Event Details
Colorado grown – Born and raised at 5280.
“I don’t like country music but I like you.”
He gets that a lot. Randomly. He can’t really tell you why. Maybe it’s that “no-fear-of-the-edge” mentality that hooks the non-country-lovin’ folk while he manages to maintain a balance of traditional vibes that will remind you of a modern day John Wayne. He’s a 6’4” bass-baritone powerhouse who once hit 200 million television sets worldwide as a contestant on “American Idol.” With each performance he fights to create something electric, something that grabs you and makes you look up. Maybe that’s it. Maybe that’s why some people don’t like country and yet… they like him.
The most common question a singer will be asked is, “When did you start singing?” Buckstein has always had the same answer: “When I found out that the chicks dig it.” Sounds like a punchline but it’s actually the truth.
He was 13, at summer camp, trying to figure out how to meet girls like everyone else. A couple of girls were singing “Amazing Grace” and he shyly scooted up next to them and started singing along. “When they found out I could sing they immediately introduced me to all the other girls in the camp,” he chuckles. “I’ve been singing ever since.”
His love of country music is thanks to his father who played it all the time when he was young even though he hated the genre. “It takes one good country song to hook ya.” Buckstein warns. “Mine was probably ‘Thunder Rolls’ by Garth Brooks or ‘This Ain’t No Thinking Thing’ by Trace Adkins. I heard those tunes when I was about 11 or 12 and something just clicked—I was hooked.”
He continued to grow up a country boy at heart often retreating to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. However, since he always lived in the city, the rest of his musical tastes fall outside of the expected box, running a gamut that includes blues, rock, rap, classics from the ’50s, and whatever was on Top 40 radio at any given time.
Buckstein studied theater in college, earning his BA from California State University, Fullerton. Prior to “American Idol” he had moved to LA to pursue a career as an actor. “I couldn’t get arrested in Los Angles.” he jokes. “One day a few friends of mine went to the ‘American Idol’ auditions, which was the hottest show on TV at the time. They wanted some company so I went along. I got through and they didn’t. It was Idol that set me on a different path.” After appearing on the finale of “American Idol” in Season 5, he returned to Denver with music on the brain.
He started singing with whomever would back him up, growing along the way, learning his craft, year after year, little by little, making friends, music, mistakes, and big moves, all leading him to today. “Those years were invaluable,” he says. “They call it ‘paying your dues.’ It always sounded like a bad thing. But I found out paying your dues can be some of the most fun you’ll ever have.”
Over the past few years Buckstein has traveled all over Colorado and the Midwest region performing for soon-to-be-lifelong fans. He admits to laughing to himself when other performers come to Colorado and complain about how hard it is to sing at such a high altitude. Buckstein, being a true native of the 5280 state, has never had a problem.
With the help of his band, “The Heard”, he has rocked crowds opening for Charlie Daniels, Dustin Lynch, Old Dominion, Eli Young, John Michael Montgomery, Mark Chesnutt, Vanilla Ice, and many, many others. He’s gained local fame as a regular guest star on Denver’s hottest country station 98.5 KYGO and also as the writer and performer of “The Grizzly Rose,” which is a popular song about the famous Denver nightclub, and he produced a music video for the track. Buckstein wrote the song about his personal experiences after his first week playing at the legendary venue.
He began, as most do, singing covers of all of the artists he was most influenced by. Buckstein embraces covers and thinks that no matter what, “there should always be room in your set to pay homage to the artists and songs that have touched your life. Even when you’re selling out arenas with your own stuff you can do that. I have a saying: ‘Today we play the songs that others have written… so that someday we may play the songs that we have written… so that someday others may play the songs that we have written.’ You gotta put those pauses in there for dramatic effect,” he laughs.
Buckstein is currently embarking on his next chapter with veteran hit-maker producer Paul Ebersold. “It doesn’t really matter to me how many hits you’ve made,” Buckstein says. “Every hit maker out there has albums on the radio room floor. You gotta lead with your heart, know when to trust the pros and when to fight for what’s ‘you’ and of course sing and perform the sh*t out of it. And even then, who knows. We’re at the mercy of the masses. They gotta like you. Even better they gotta love you. You’ve gotta give them a reason too. I’m super excited about my work with Paul. We can talk for hours and pour our hearts out. That kind of connection is so critical when it comes to an artistic partnership.”
Buckstein’s goal is to bring soul to everything he does. “What people seem to respond most to in my live performances is my passion and comfort on stage. I work hard to bring those elements to the recordings. My sound gets compared a lot to the great bass-baritones of my time: Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, Josh Turner, Chris Young, etc. I also get compared to alternative rockers and blues crooners. A bit of a vocal mutt.” Buckstein chuckles. “Just how I like it. If my sound were a drink, I’d like to think it would come in a bottle with a cork instead of a twist cap. I’d like to think it’s got a crisp bite with a smooth finish.”
He gives all the thanks in the world to his fans, his crew, and his wife-to-be Marie: “Without the people who support me, on stage and off, this would all be for nothing. I try to always surround myself with good people who want to make good music for other good people.”
And if you’re still wondering, it’s pronounced “Buck-steen.”
With Special Guest : Derek Hall & The Possibilities
Derek Hall & the Possibilities is a Golden based Country power trio with Jamie Richardson on bass/backing vocals, Joe Lasser on drums/backing vocals, and Derek Hall on guitar/vocals. They play a wide range of country music from classic old school, outlaw, to 90’s style. You’ll hear Merle, Willie, Waylon to Dwight Yoakam, Sturgill Simpson and Midland. But it gets even better, since the Possibilities aim to please, so they will treat the audience to “countrified” rock classics from Tom Petty, CCR, and Grateful Dead.
Audiences from all generations love the mix!
You want toe tapping, danceable originals made in Golden, Colorado? Yeah they have that too! Songs such as Dreamin Ain’t Doin and Any Good Trouble Will Do harken to what made country pure American music in the first place!

SUNNY SWEENEY
The mastery of holes in the wall, major label stint, and serious songwriting chops make Sunny Sweeney something of a rarity: an artist with barroom cred, mainstream validation, and songs meaty enough for listening rooms. Or, as Rolling Stone put it: “Sweeney is one of the rare entertainers who can hold her own at CMA Fest as well as AmericanaFest.
Just as comfortable commanding a stadium stage on tour with Bob Seger as she is pouring her heart out from a listening-room stool, she is an outlier: A humble East Texas kid with super-star chops, singing her own songs made up of equal parts wit, soul, and hard truth. Seven albums into a career that has earned praise from Rolling Stone, NPR, American Songwriter, and more, Sunny has drawn a loyal following, experienced the business from every angle, and ultimately, embraced her independence––it’s smart country music that likes to have its rock and honky tonk, too, and is that much better for it.
Sweeney will release a new studio album in 2025 produced by Sweeney and Harley Husbands.
With Special Guest: “CAM PIERCE”
Cam Pierce was born and bred in the West… way West. Born in a small logging town in Oregon and growing up in the deep woods of the Southern part of the state. All his time in the forests watching, listening, and being still shaped his spontaneous approach to songwriting. Occasionally as a young adult he recalls becoming discontented with small town life, yearning for the bright lights and fast pace of a city. These few short bouts in babylon would present new experiences and test’s for the compass of a young man’s life and spirit. But the woods, and the small town living would always call him home.

A Night of Timeless Alternative Rock & Soulful Melodies
About Fastball
Formed in 1994 in Austin, Texas, Fastball has built a remarkable career combining melodic, Beatles-inspired pop sensibilities with the alternative aesthetic of late-’90s mainstream rock. The band—featuring guitarist/vocalist Miles Zuniga, bassist/vocalist Tony Scalzo, and drummer Joey Shuffield—first captured widespread attention with their 1998 breakthrough album “All the Pain Money Can Buy,” which went platinum within six months of its release and earned two Grammy nominations.
Propelled by the meteoric success of “The Way,” which topped American rock charts for seven weeks while enjoying crossover pop success, along with hits like “Fire Escape” and “Out of My Head,” Fastball established themselves as masters of irresistible hooks and thoughtful songcraft.
Now in what the band members describe as their most creatively productive period, Fastball is touring in support of their new self-titled album, recorded in west Texas at Sonic Ranch Studio with acclaimed producer David Garza. This latest release highlights the band’s evolution and the deep musical trust developed through decades of collaboration.
“We started communicating way more effectively. And that had a profound effect on everything we did. It made the music better. It made us closer as people. It made us a better band,” says drummer Joey Shuffield, reflecting on the creative chemistry that powers their current sound.
The new album features sonic explorations like “America,” a danceable groove that Tony Scalzo notes “doesn’t sound like anything we’ve ever done,” alongside solo compositions that showcase each member’s individual talents. This performance promises both treasured classics from their impressive catalog and fresh material that demonstrates why Fastball remains a vibrant creative force after three decades together.
Special Guest: Patrick Dune and The DesertHearts
Opening the evening is Patrick Dune, a 12-time nominated and award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer based in Littleton, Colorado. Owner of DuneTunes Recording studio, Dune brings a distinctive sound that blends retro rock roots with a southern flair and country rock influences, all punctuated by his signature soulful Rickenbacker guitar work.
After getting his start in Canada writing songs and playing sessions for various artists, including Canadian Idol finalists, Dune relocated to Colorado where he continues to expand his musical horizons. His single “We’re the Lucky Ones” introduced Denver radio listeners to his infectious mix of rock and pop hooks with his band “The DesertHearts.”
Currently working on new material scheduled for release in spring 2025, Dune’s performance will showcase songs that stretch the boundaries of his sound, exploring themes of life, self-redemption, forgiveness, and faith.
The Buffalo Rose in Golden, Colorado provides the perfect backdrop for this musical evening. This premier live music venue beautifully blends rich history with contemporary vibrancy. Originally built in 1922 and recently renovated, the space features stunning art deco interior, soaring ceilings, elegant lighting, and original brick walls that create an atmosphere reminiscent of the golden era of American theaters.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering these artists for the first time, this evening promises an unforgettable musical journey in one of Colorado’s most cherished historic venues. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience Fastball’s enduring alternative rock mastery alongside Patrick Dune’s soulful songcraft in the intimate and historic setting of The Buffalo Rose.

Ruthie Foster’s musical journey is as eclectic and vibrant as her soulful voice. Born into a gospel-rich family in Gause, Texas, Ruthie was influenced by her mother, grandmother, and artists like the Gospel Keynotes and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Initially shy, Ruthie embraced her talent, thanks to encouragement from her family and church community.
After studying music and serving in the Navy, where she performed with the Navy band Pride, Ruthie signed a development deal with Atlantic Records and honed her skills in New York City’s songwriting community. She eventually returned to Texas, blending blues, folk, and gospel into a unique sound. Ruthie’s acclaimed albums include Runaway Soul, The Phenomenal Ruthie Foster, The Truth According to Ruthie Foster, and Healing Time. She has collaborated with artists like Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, and Derek Trucks, further highlighting her versatility. With five Grammy nominations and numerous awards, she remains a powerful voice in music.
Her latest album, Mileage, to be released on the legendary Sun Records, reflects on her life and musical journey. Produced and co-written by Tyler Bryant & co-written with Rebecca Lovell (Bryant’s wife and 1/2 of Larkin Poe), the album features powerful tracks like “Rainbow” and “Heartshine.”
