All Smokin’ ~ All Night!
Smokin’ is a Boston Tribute band made up of entirely Colorado musicians and singers. We’ve played Parker Days, Taste of Colorado, plus packed crowds in at The Buffalo Rose, Oriental Theatre and lots of festivals and venues across the Front Range. Smokin’ has dedicated themselves to the task of faithfully reproducing the energetic, textured and melodic music of Boston and other similar groups from the era including Kansas, REO Speedwagon, ELO and more. The soaring guitars, the swirling keyboards and lush harmony vocals that we all remember on classic FM staples such as “More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time, Don’t Look Back, Amanda, Hitch a Ride, Cool the Engines, Smokin” and more. Boston has sold more than 75 million and had a career spanning over 40 years! There has not been a local Boston Tribute, UNTIL NOW!
Smokin’ has made a huge splash in the local live music scene over the past 2 years and now you can be part of that magic and see your crowd strumming their air guitars in unison and belting out all the positive, energetic, life affirming hits with the band! The time is now for Smokin the Boston and more Tribute!

Hazel Miller and the Collective
Hazel Miller is not just a great singer, “she is a force of nature!” quotes the Rocky Mountain News. Her voice has been called “stunning, moving and powerful.” Hazel has been a sought after performer in Colorado for the past 24 years. Whether she is singing blues, jazz, pop, or Gospel, her voice charges the songs with a primal dose of genuine soul.
Hazel began her 38-year career in Louisville, Kentucky, where she rose to the top of the music scene. She opened for popular artists such as Mel Torme, James Brown, Temptations, Earl Klugh, Bob James and many others.
The city of Denver singled out Hazel as one of 150 people who make Denver a better place to live. This award was bestowed by the mayor on Nov 22, 2008 at the Colorado History Museum. She has been given several awards for artistic excellence: Best Independent Blues-R&B Recording- 2002; Outstanding Performer at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
The new musical “Sisters and Storytellers” starred an ensemble cast including Hazel in her first musical theater role. The musical was very well received. Before this production Ms. Miller appeared in “The Vagina Monologues” in Boulder and Denver, receiving a local award for “Best Local Star in a Theatrical Production.
Since moving to Colorado she has regularly performed with Big Head Todd and the Monsters. She was a regular performer on the ETown Radio Show, aired on NPR. She has performed at all the major jazz and music festivals throughout Colorado while maintaining a working band which won the Westword Readers Poll “Best Blues/R&B” band for three consecutive years, 1995, 1996, and 1997. Event Details
“It’s been quite a while since the release of the last album, and in that time an awful lot has happened.” is the opening line from Greg Carmichael’s notes for the band’s brand new album, 33 1/3 , and never a truer word has been written. The last studio album from the band, ‘Roseland’, was released in 2011, followed by a live double album, ‘Live In London’, in 2014. “It has almost become a running joke, “ says Miles Gilderdale, “after every single show we are constantly being asked, ‘When’s the new album coming out?’ It’s nice to finally have an answer for them.”
There are two main reasons for the amount of time fans have had to wait for this album. The first is that the band feel very passionately that you should only write and album when you have something to say. “We’re quite lucky in that respect, “ says Miles, “we don’t have a record label breathing down our necks telling us we need to put out something every year.” Greg; “ For us, the only time we even consider going into the studio is when we have some material that we really believe in. It’s been quite a while since I’ve had the space to even think about being creative.” Greg’s wife Jan was tragically and suddenly struck with meningitis shortly before an American tour in 2015, “It’s one of those things that you hear about, but never imagine happening to you or your loved ones. One day she was absolutely fine and the next we were in hospital with Jan in a coma and the doctors telling me there was a chance she would never come out of it.” Fortunately she did recover, though the ferocity of the infection has left her permanently affected. It’s just incredible that something can do that to someone so quickly, so as you imagine I couldn’t even think about writing or playing.”
With the help of guitarists Steve Oliver and Nate Najar, Acoustic Alchemy continued to tour the United States with Greg flying in as and when he could, “I couldn’t believe how great they were. I’m not sure I could do that, just take a whole set of songs and learn someone else’s parts and just go up and play it so incredibly well. I’m really grateful to them, and Jan’s incredible strength and determination have been such an inspiration, and that’s what made me want to get back to writing.”
For over three decades the band have been at the forefront of contemporary jazz, even if the band’s signature eclectic mix of styles has meant they have never comfortably fit snugly into any one genre; “We’ve had a lot of labels over the years, at the start there were all these names flying around like New Adult Contemporary, New Age music, and then it became Smooth Jazz, but we’ve never really thought about ourselves as being in any one particular genre. We just make music we like.” Says Greg, “At the core it’s always been about one simple concept: the sound of the nylon and steel guitars working together, but that leaves a lot of scope for exploring all sorts of musical ideas.”
That is certainly the case with 33 1/3, and album which touches on Jazz (such as the track ‘A Little Closer’), Blues (‘Blues for Mr. Mu’ being a tribute to the late Steely Dan founder Walter Becker), Caribbean (the band have a long history of incorporating the sounds of the Islands into their songs, and ‘The Girl With A Plan’ follows that tradition from such past hits as ‘Mr. Chow’ and ‘Jamaica Heartbeat’), Eastern (found in the opening track of the album ‘East of Babylon’) and even Classical music (‘Allemande’ and ‘Prelude in D Minor’ two pieces that Greg has always loved playing since his early days at the London College of Music), and yet with all the diversity of styles, the album manages to still sound like classic Acoustic Alchemy, as Miles explains, “The band has changed a lot over the years, different personnel, different eras, different influences, but we always somehow make it sound like Acoustic Alchemy. I think every band tries to do that, to make something that’s new and interesting, but the fans still hear it and go, that’s them!”

Willian Topley & Band William Topley’s lyrics
Event Details
Willian Topley & Band
William Topley’s lyrics are subtle vignettes of life that take in universal themes that are filtered through the lens of late night performances, morning after black coffees and too many cigarettes. They are songs that deliver more with each listening and give you a real sense of the journey and the feelings that affect each and everyone of us. Dire Straits guitar legend Mark Knopfler, says of Topley: “He’s big-hearted, emotional and strictly legit.”
William Topley has developed a dedicated fan base in the U.S. ever since the release of Prince of the Deep Water in 1991, his first album with his band The Blessing. Producer Neil Dorfsman (Sting, Dire Straits) described him as “the most original songwriter I’ve heard for years.” The influences, still recognisable in his music, were already there – The Stones, Van Morrison, the best of soul and southern rock. The album catapulted The Blessing into a world tour, videos in Jamaica, TV stations in Paris and soccer stadiums in Germany with Simply Red and Level 42.
Legendary Rolling Stones Producer Jimmy Miller, who produced The Blessing’s second album Locusts and Wild Honey, was equally enthusiastic. “They’re right up my alley. I haven’t had such a good relationship with a band since Traffic.”
Ever looking for new challenges, Topley decided to go solo for his next albums. Producer Barry Beckett said of Topley: “He’s the best singer I’ve ever heard.” And that’s from a guy who’s worked with Aretha Franklin and Paul Simon.
Topley has worked with guitarist/songwriter Dominic Miller (best known for his work with Sting), and frequently records with his band and plays live with his band (Luke Brighty – guitar, James Eller – bass, Jim Kimberley – drums, Mark Taylor – keyboards, Dorie Jackson – backing vocals).
On the back of his latest album, Aristocrats of the South Seas and annual Bahamas Fan Trip, William Topley and the Black River Band are delivering songs that are dripping with evocative lyrics and memorable musical imagery.
With Special Guest Bunny Blake
Bunny Blake is a public figure, an old soul trapped in the body of a 20 something. Influenced by the vocals of Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige with the guitar styling of James Taylor and John Mayer, Bunny’s genre can be best described as pop/r&b with soulful, finger style guitar. Her name is inspired by The Twilight Zone, mirroring her many dimensions as an artist.
One can learn the most about Bunny through her songwriting. Striking a balance between Cutesy and Sexy, Sweet and Sassy, each song expresses a different dimension of femininity. Bunny leaves little to the imagination. Her song “$$$” speaks candidly to the reality of being a full time musician while “Pisces” and “Dominos” appeal to her more playful side. “Good Intentions” is perhaps her most emotionally honest work about the value of transparency in a relationship.
In a past life, Bunny has traveled the world with her music as Lindsey Saunders. From receiving a Gibson Les Paul from a kind stranger at the Pinetop Music festival in Arizona, to meeting one of the infamous members of the Beach Boys in the Airport after playing the Copenhagen Songwriters Festival, she’s always sure to travel with a bit of whimsy in her back pocket.
When attending Bunny’s live show, it doesn’t take long to see why she claims it was the guitar that chose her – not the other way around. Bunny’s unconventional chord crafting has earned her a Taylor Guitar Artist Partnership with notable performances at events such as the Sundance Film Festival, Boulder International Film Festival, Durango Songwriters Expo, SXSW and CMJ Music Marathon. Bunny has received many accolades for her work being noted as a musician whose artistry and poise as a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist demands to be both seen and heard.

Phillip Lamar & Paizley Park
The Experience of Prince
If you’re going to pay tribute to one of the all-time best-selling artists, then you’d better have something serious to bring. With sales of more than 150 million records, there are a lot of fans who know every note played, every costume worn and every choreographed step by the late megastar, Prince, and doing it half-way just won’t cut it. Paizley Park is the creation of Phillip Lamar who formed the band at the urging of his friends and fans who (thankfully) convinced him that his vocal and physical attributes were spot on resemblances to THE Purple one.
But there is more to forming a successful tribute band, especially a PRINCE tribute band, than appearance and talent – a lot more. Countless hours are consumed watching concert videos, studying every nuanced move and every arrangement variation, all before the first musician is auditioned. Then, the work of finding players who are both, competent and excited about the project starts.
Fortunately, there was no lack of professional musicians wanting to step into the opportunity of playing a role in the recreation of Prince’s dynamic band. Paizley Park came together in January 2016. Four months later, Prince left us and the Denver tribute’s notoriety skyrocketed.
Paizley Park may be too large for many clubs as word about its completely authentic presentation of Prince and his backing band, The Revolution, has spread. Multiple costume changes, intricate choreography and spot-on musical delivery combine to recreate the performances of a true superstar. Audiences are teleported back to the memory of their favorite show, or to the show they were sorry to have missed and as buzz for the band grows with each appearance the future for Paizley Park is a bright Purple.

Hold The Line ~ A Total Toto Experience
In September, 2020, Bill Thode, keyboards, set out to found a Tribute Band, focusing on the music of Toto, a band that inspired him with their songs and musicianship. Bill contacted Ron Perron, bassist, and placed ads in local musicians sites for drummers, guitarists, and vocalists. We found Joseph Morton shortly thereafter, and Joe had had a personal experience involving Jeff Porcaro, original Toto drummer and an all time great, that had him highly motivated to honor Jeff’s legacy. He quickly became “the guy” on drums. Auditions can be a grind, as musical organizations go through lots of folks in the process who don’t quite fit, for a variety of reasons. We had some wonderful auditions, but weren’t able to fill the positions of guitar and vocals, until…
Bill got a response from Shane Russell, a very experienced vocalist. There was only one issue. Shane lives in Mississippi. And contrary to popular belief, it’s nearly impossible to audition, never mind rehearse effectively, on Zoom. So, Shane flew into Denver to audition on the same day we had Bob Croft audition as guitarist. I think we scared ourselves that day! It was a really potent rehearsal, and we gave each other goosebumps!
Sons of Genesis
GENESIS & BEYOND: Inspired by the incredible live performances from Genesis’s past, Sons of Genesis delivers a truly genuine experience for the audience complete with hit songs, deep cuts, extended medleys, and yes, even two drum kits because our “Phil” plays too.
With songs from both the Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins eras, and their amazing solo careers, Sons of Genesis have it covered.

The Buffalo Rose (Band)
Buffalo Rose is a wildly charismatic six-piece modern folk/Americana band from Pittsburgh that will change your entire perspective on acoustic music. They take the singer-songwriter tradition to a new level by crafting original songs which are emotive, meticulously arranged, and inspired by a world of idiosyncratic influences that never let a dull or predictable moment creep in.
